Hello and welcome to my website....

My name is Craig, and I am located in Victoria Australia and in April 2007 I managed to get my Amateur Radio Foundation Licence.

This is a great hobby allowing you to talk to many people all over the world by use of your own radio equipment, the Amateur bands as well as IRLP (Internet Repeater Linking Project).

I am building this web site to show off the great hobby.

My history, when it comes to Radio goes a little like this... Back in the 70's CB radio was taking off, and as a young guy, I was well into CB and the 27Mhz band, both AM and SSB. Back then to get your Amateur Radio Licence was very difficult with also the need to learn Morse Code.
I tried to get a grasp on CW, but with no luck, many years past with loosing interest in CB except for a little UHF CB for traveling... March 2007, I found out about the recently introduced Foundation Licence for Amateur Radio, and after looking a little further into this new Licence, I purchased the Foundation Book, began my study, and managed to sit the exam and pass.

I have not looked back and have found many great people since getting on the air.

Get into it... But be good.

More to come.

Stop everything !!! As of May this year (2008) I have managed to pass my Standard License Upgrade and will have my new call sign soon. (9th June 08)
